Julia M. Pratt

Julia maintains a broad labour and employment practice, advising employers on all aspects of the employment relationship. Her practice includes employment litigation, labour disputes, human rights matters, workplace investigations and providing strategic advice on complex workplace issues. Julia has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench.

She takes a collaborative, client-focused approach to every matter, working closely with clients to understand their objectives and priorities. By taking the time to learn and understand what matters most to each client, she develops legal strategies tailored to the unique needs and aligned with the goals of her clients.

Julia has a particular interest in human rights law, and enjoys helping clients navigate complex and developing legal issues. She is passionate about problem-solving and finding creative, practical solutions to challenging matters. Whether representing employers in disputes, conducting workplace investigations, or advising on sensitive employment and human rights issues, Julia is committed to delivering clear, pragmatic advice and practical solutions that help employers achieve their objectives.

Outside of her practice, Julia is an avid Jeopardy! fan and crossword enthusiast who rarely passes up a good trivia question. She enjoys spending time with her family and exploring Edmonton’s beautiful parks and festivals.
